Dear Friends,

In early June the funeral was held in Calgary for Pastor Tom's wife Jane, who was killed by a truck as she was walking. Pastor Tom had committed to coming one Sunday every month with his family to help Karen with Sunday School. Pray for Tom and their two girls as they have gone back to Korea for two months to be with family & friends. They had just been here a few days before she was killed.

I attended a Timber Frame building course in British Columbia which is just a few hours drive from here in the mountains. I took the course with a friend, Rob, from Drayton Valley who has been a big help to the mission in the last couple years. I took this course to help with how we build our house this summer, and Rob is the shop teacher here in the Sunchild School and will be in charge of some projects at the school as well.

All of our weekly ministry schedule carried on as usual in June with lots of volunteers, but I missed getting very many pictures since I was gone for the course.

Karen's neck is still in a brace and this makes it hard for her to carry on her activities, so please help pray this will be improve. On the 29th Karen left with a team of helpers to hold VBS in Old Crow, Yukon, flying out of Edmonton. A local girl from our church fellowship, Janelle, is on the team with two Korean volunteers from Calgary and will be leading the adult Bible Study. The first week of July they will be ministering in Old Crow, so please pray for them then.

Our Sunchild VBS starts on July 15th, and the O'Chiese VBS starts on July 21st. After that will be three VBS's with a team from Child Evangelism Fellowship including one at the Big Horn Reserve in the mountains.

In early July we will be finished moving out of our house and starting on the job of taking it down and building our new house. We are about a month behind in our building schedule because the ministry schedule doesn't  leave much time for that. So please remember to help pray for these activities! Anyone interested in helping with the house project that has building skills would be greatly appreciated and a special answer to prayer!!

This is the picture we took of Pastor Tom's family and helper when they were here the last Sunday of May, just a few days before she was killed. Jane is in blue, and Estella, a helper from their church is wearing white.

Below, the youth group is having a contest blowing soap bubbles! Notice all the bubbles on the ground. Pastor Gary, from the Nazarene Church in Rocky Mt. House answered Karen's call for help is at the left side.

Rosalie and Ryan came to help with Sunday School all the way from the east side of Alberta. We needed someone to fill in for Pastor's Tom's family who had been scheduled to come.

I took Karen and Janelle to fly out of Edmonton, and the other team members got on when the plane stopped in Calgary, so it worked out they could all travel together.

They arrived in Old Crow the same day and got this picture.

This is the first day VBS class in Old Crow.

This is a picture of the midnight sun in Old Crow. It won't set for a month or more.

This is a picture of some of our Sunday School girls and their school awards at the Sunchild school.

Below is a class picture at my Timber frame course sitting on the project we built. Each one of us built several timbers.

This is how we worked on each of our timbers.

After they were all carved out with chisels and saws we fit them together with hardwood dowels.

Everything fit surprising well with no glitches!

We didn't put all the rafter timbers in place because it will be taken apart and moved when it is sold.

Karen just sent some pictures of friends of ours at Old Crow.

This is Martha Benjamin. In the 1960's she was the Canadian National cross country ski champion and competed Internationally. She has a Wikipedia write-up.

Please keep us in prayer as this is a really busy summer! In Jesus, Rodger & Karen Rinker.
